The following are all Directors of Heartstone Inns Ltd (HI). Andrew Haining, James Birch and Robin Black are also Directors of Heartstone Inns 2 Ltd (HI2).

  Andrew Haining - Chairman of HI and HI2

Prior to co-founding Balmuir Partners in Oct 2005, Andrew was a founder investor in and subsequently CEO of Botts & Company, the London based private equity fund manager with c. £250m of assets, between 1987 and 2005. A graduate of Cambridge, Andrew was an executive of Bank of America between 1981 and 1985 and subsequently an investment director of County Development Capital between 1985 and 1987. As well as being Chairman of Heartstone Inns and Heartstone Inns 2 Ltd, he is Chairman of the Shrewsbury School Foundation and was previously a director of Norcros, Malmaison and The Scotsman Hotel.
     
  James Birch - Managing Director of HI and HI2

James is a Chartered Accountant, who has held senior finance roles in the packaging, pubs and brewing sectors. James was previously Finance Director and a shareholder of Refresh UK and, prior to Refresh, was Finance Director of InnSpired and its predecessor, Ushers of Trowbridge. James and Stuart Hawthorn were the co-founders of Heartstone Inns in early 2007. James is Managing Director of Heartstone Inns Ltd and Heartstone Inns 2 Ltd.
     
  Robin Black - Non Executive Director of HI and HI2

Robin has over 25 years of private equity experience as a founding partner of Balmuir Partners (2005-2008) and a partner of Botts & Company, the London based private equity fund manager (1992-2005). A graduate of Exeter University, Robin qualified with KPMG (formerly Peat Marwick Mitchell) in 1983 and then joined Bankers Trust in 1985 where he was a Vice-President in its Private Equity and Structured Debt Group in London and Los Angeles. Robin is chairman of Osprey Publishing and Aqua Service, a non-executive director of Heartstone Inns Ltd and Heartstone Inns 2 Ltd, an investment committee member of Finance East and Treasurer of Malvern College. He was previously a director of Malmaison, Cineworld, Continuum Publishing and Primesight.
     
  Lloyd Marshall - Non Executive Director of HI

Lloyd is finance director of Marshall Monteagle PLC, an investment holding company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. He is also a non-executive director of Halogen Holdings P.L.C. and City Group P.L.C. He was educated in South Africa and currently resides in London, U.K.
     
  Edward Beale - Non Executive Director of HI

Edward is a member of the UK's Accounting Standards Board, Chairman of the Quoted Companies Alliance's Corporate Governance Committee and non-executive director of Finsbury Food Group plc, Halogen Holdings P.L.C., and Heartstone Inns. His day job is chief executive of City Group P.L.C, a provider of outsourced regulatory compliance services to small quoted companies. After obtaining an engineering degree from Cambridge in 1983, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in London and then worked at French Connection, Tozer Kemsley & Millbourn and Inchcape and subsequently was CFO at the Malabar Cotton Company prior to joining City Group in 1999
